Absolute Beginner Line Dance

Class Description

This progressive 6-week series is on Tuesdays evenings (NO class March 24) from 7:30-8:30 pm. This is a modern line dance class so there will be a variety of genres of music including latin, pop and country. The class is for people who have never line danced before, have not line danced for a long time, or who are continuing to work on mastering basic line dance steps, patterns and timings. The focus is on learning and reinforcing basic line dance steps and patterns, making our feet listen to our brain, using correct weight transfers, and improving coordination and balance. Classes are held in the Seniors on the Bow auditorium in the SLS Centre. This is a private rental so you do not need a membership with SOTB or the SLS Centre to attend. Classes are for all ages but children under 18 must be mature and accompanied by a guardian who is also registered for the class. PLEASE NOTE: Each dancer must complete their own registration form and must read and agree to the waiver and media release.
